Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in the free conversation?
We talk plainly about where your business is, what’s eating your time, and whether I can help. No pitch and no pressure. If there’s a fit, I’ll tell you what I’d look at first.
How do you price your work?
The first conversation is free, with no commitment. We agree on scope, timeline and expected results, then I send a fixed-price proposal tied to those results, not an hourly rate. The work runs in four stages: diagnostic, plan, execution and closure, including team training where needed. Payments follow milestones, so you know the full cost upfront. You pay for results, not billable hours.
Do we need to be “ready for AI” first?
No. Most businesses aren’t, and that’s normal. We start with people and process. AI agents come once the work they’ll do is clear.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
Owner-led businesses, typically $2M to $50M in revenue, in BC, across Canada and in the US. If you’re growing but the business is getting harder to run, we should talk.
Do you sell AI software?
No. AI is a tool, not the solution. I build and run AI agents around how your business actually works, and you keep what’s built.
How do you handle our data and security?
We sign an NDA before our first conversation, so you can share openly from the start. Your data belongs to you, and you’ll always know where it’s stored and how it’s used. A review of your current data setup is part of the usual scope. Based on that review, and drawing on my background as a cybersecurity engineer, I can recommend security practices that fit your requirements and compliance obligations. Where your situation calls for it, the solution may be set up on your own premises so your data stays in-house. We confirm this at the first conversation. How your data is handled during and after the project is agreed with you upfront.
